Morrisville is a town in Wake County, North Carolina. Morrisville is part of the Research Triangle metropolitan region. The regional name was originated after the 1959 creation of the Research Triangle, located midway between the cities of Raleigh and Durham. The Triangle is the educational, intellectual, and high-tech center of North Carolina and the South. For foodies, the East Meets West Festival in May will allow you to taste dishes and experience cultures from around the globe. If you prefer the outdoors, Morrisville is home to six parks including Shiloh Community Park, Crabtree Nature Park, and Indian Creek Greenway and Trailhead, all of which feature endless amenities from various athletic courts and picnic shelters to children's playgrounds and walking/jogging/biking trails.
